As we have limits on our class capacity, you will be charged a fee if you do not cancel your class/do not show to your class within two hours of the scheduled class time. ($12 fee for anyone on a monthly unlimited pass or simply forfeit the class if you are on a casual or class pass) Please note that class cancellations are not accepted via social media platforms, text message or email. The class booking system is set up to ensure that each individual can manage their own class bookings, so please log in to your account to both book and cancel your classes. Our studio doors close right before class start time and there is no access to class after the scheduled start time. A no show fee will be applied if you arrive after the scheduled time.

About Studio Q

After running Melbourne’s first Bikram Yoga studio (Bikram Yoga Richmond) for the past 10 years, Bianca has put her best foot forward to create and evolve a new hot yoga & pilates space. Located in the heart of Kew, 3101, Studio Q is a warm, friendly and fresh space. Studio Q believes in quality classes, that’s why we offer only the very best, original hot classes. We keep our studio hot by using top quality infrared heaters. Infrared heat is a very natural form of heat, that comes with many health benefits, one being encouraging a healthy metabolism. Our infrared heaters are silent, emit zero light and are energy efficient. When it comes to classes and community, Studio Q believes in offering quality, simplicity and leading from the heart. We can’t wait to welcome you into this space!

Bikram Hot Yoga 

Bikram Yoga is the original hot yoga (dating back 50+ years!) and is a series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, taught and practised in a heated room (40 degree heat with 40% humidity). It has been proved and experienced by millions that these 26 postures systematically work every part of the body, to give all the internal organs, all the veins, all the ligaments, and all the muscles everything they need to maintain optimum health and maximum function. While it energizes 100% of the body, it strengthens, develops & clears the mind as well. Bianca and our teachers have undergone rigorous and in depth training, learning directly from the source and only teach the authentic, original 90 minute hot Bikram Yoga sequence. This is a therapeutic sequence, suitable for any age or ability. There are lots of hot yoga fads out there, but we teach and practice the original. Come and give it a go! 

Inferno Hot Pilates

Hot Pilates is a training system using Pilates Principles along with High Intensity Interval training (HIIT) in a room heated to 32-34 degree celsius and 40% humidity. Hot Pilates combines cardio and muscle toning . The Pilates Principles sculpt your body, creating long lean muscle mass. The High Intensity Interval Training keeps your heart rate up, helping you burn fat. The heat loosens up the muscles quickly and the humidity makes you sweat, helping to boost your heart rate, metabolism and promotes detoxification. If you’re wishing to tone & strengthen like never before, whilst having a fun & uplifting time doing it, this is the class for you! 

Stretch & Restore Yin Yoga 

Yin yoga is a slow paced, restorative style of yoga and targets connective tissues, such as fascia, ligaments, joints and bones.   

It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts. The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely. Our yin classes are taught in a warm room. Modern life feels incredibly fast paced, we can all benefit from more yin! Slow down, unwind, relax and reduce stress. 

This stretch & restore yin class is particularly beneficial for anyone who is looking to add a more restorative component to their other active routines, such as gym work, running, and football.

Where to Find Us

Studio Q Yoga and Pilates is located at 1/3 Wellington Street, Kew. (Located above Harmony Chinese Medicine Clinic). Entrance to the studio can be found via the side door, near the clinic car park. Look out for the studio signs and come up the stairs to access the studio. Please note that doors open no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled class start time and close strictly 15 minutes after the conclusion of the scheduled class.

Parking: Clinic parking is reserved for clinic patients. Street parking is available for studio students or access to a car park via Fenton street.

We are:

  • 5km from the Melbourne CBD (~14 minutes by car)
  • 1 minute walk from the 109 tram line (stop 32)
